Minnie

Minnie is a victim of human cruelty as a puppy. We believe she has been targeted with one other dog (Misty) by people who tied them up and physically harm them. We don't know the extent of the physical harm they caused but both their tails were cut.

Minnie and Misty were captured to be neutered but unfortunately it was imposibble for us to release them afterwards, because where they live was destroyed and they couldn't have survived there. Given their physical and mental state, we were unable to release them to somewhere they don't know.

Minnie refrains from meeting new people and approaches every new experience with much consideration and anxiety. But once she settles down in a place and routine, she becomes a wiggly girl to her caregiver, demanding pets and licks your face.

Because she is very scared to be captured and tied, she reacts with shrieking and struggle to be leashed. As such she needs a place with a secured garden. After establishing trust, it may be easier to teach her that leash is not a bad thing but rather key to going outside, discovering new things outside the garden. We are also totally OK for her to live without ever going out on walks if necessary, as long as she can receive the love and care of having a family. Unfortunately, she is currently staying at a crowded dog hotel where she stays in a kennel alone most of the day.
