Shelby is rescued from the streets of Turkey, she has come a long way—from surviving on her own to discovering the comfort of soft beds, kind voices, and warm touches. Now living in a foster home in Den Haag, she’s finally ready to start the next chapter with someone who sees her for the gentle soul she is.

She moves through the world with quiet curiosity. Birds fascinate her—she’ll pause to watch them and sometimes even give a little chase, but she’s not the type to stay nose-to-the-ground or disappear into the distance. Walks are a joyful part of her day, especially if there’s a chance to run a bit and stretch her legs. At home, she settles into a calm rhythm, snoozing near your feet or snuggling up beside you for hours if you let her.

Shelby is deeply affectionate and bonds strongly with her people. She thrives on closeness and would be happiest in a home where cuddles are part of the daily routine. She’s also fully house-trained and understands the rhythms of home life.

She may be a bit reserved with unfamiliar men—never aggressive, just politely keeping her distance, possibly shaped by a past that wasn’t always kind. But once she knows you’re safe, she’s all in—loyal, loving, and full of quiet joy.

Shelby can also make a great office dog, being quiet and chill inside, content with a bed and getting pets.

She is also a foodie, which makes her easy to train but also a bit overweight. Her foster family put her on a weight loss journey and she already lost 1 kg!
