Çilek means strawberry in Turkish — and just like one, she’s soft, sweet, and a little shy at first bite 🍓

This gentle girl was found almost frozen after being neutered and cruelly dumped on a freezing winter day. She could barely move when she was rescued. Since then, she’s only known warmth — first at a dog hotel, and now in her foster home in Amsterdam, where she’s learning that a real family is the warmest place to be. ❤️

Çilek has an incredibly good-natured and easygoing temperament. She’s calm and quiet at home, perfectly happy to nap on soft couches, beds, or pillows (and yes, she snores adorably 😴).

She can be a little cautious around new people, sudden noises, or other dogs — she prefers to observe before engaging, never reacting in an excessive way. In her foster home, she’s slowly opening up to her furry foster sibling and has even started to play 🐾

Once she trusts you, she becomes the most affectionate cuddlebug — gently pawing you for more pets the moment you stop. She’s playful, sweet, and always wants to be near her humans.

Çilek is also a proud foodie 🍗 She’s very motivated by treats, often sitting without even being asked, hoping for another bite! Because of her love for food, she’s a bit on the round side now — but with gentle walks and a family to help her get fit again, she’ll be in perfect shape in no time.
