Omschrijving
Foster Home Needed – Meet Beethoven 🐾
Beethoven is a 3-year-old gentle giant who urgently needs a loving foster home. Despite his large size, he is a total softie — a big baby at heart who lives for affection, calm company, and kindness.
He grew up on the streets from puppyhood and was cared for by kind neighbors who looked out for him. When a new law in Turkey put stray dogs at risk of being rounded up and sent to overcrowded, high-risk shelters, the people who loved Beethoven did everything they could to protect him. To keep him safe, they placed him in a dog hotel/sanctuary — but this is only a temporary solution. What Beethoven truly needs now is a home environment where he can relax and feel secure.
Because he was bullied by larger and older dogs while growing up, Beethoven is shy and very submissive around other dogs, even though he is big himself. He is not dominant and avoids conflict. He would do best in a calm setting, ideally with gentle dogs or as the only dog. He used to eat from the same bowl with stray cats, therefore we expect him to be a good companion for a cat.
With people, Beethoven is pure sweetness. He adores human contact, seeks affection, and loves being petted. He bonds easily and just wants to be close to his humans. He walks very nicely on the leash and enjoys relaxed strolls rather than high-energy adventures.
At home, Beethoven is the ultimate couch companion — happy to chill, nap, and watch Netflix with you. He is possibly an Anatolian Shepherd, a breed known for being great with people, children, and small animals. While the breed can be protective, Beethoven himself is exceptionally friendly and gentle, and we do not expect territorial behavior from him at all.
Beethoven is the definition of a gentle giant — a giant teddy bear who needs a safe, calm foster home where he can finally rest and be loved.
If you can offer him temporary care and a peaceful place to land, you will be making an enormous difference in this beautiful boy’s life. 💙
Can you help this gentle giant find his forever home by offering a temporary home when he can fly to the Netherlands by early March?
