Meet Kopuk – Our One-Eyed Beauty with a Heart of Gold 💛

Kopuk, whose name means foam in Turkish, was born in the countryside where she grew up as a beloved community dog. The neighbors fed her and cared for her, and she was surrounded by kindness. But one day tragedy struck when she was hit by a car. Our beautiful girl lost one of her eyes in the accident. For a moment we feared for her future — but Kopuk proved that nothing could break her spirit.

When she came into our care she was extremely thin, and a veterinary check revealed she was also fighting blood parasites. With treatment and proper care she made a full recovery. After that she moved to a safe kennel where she spent the past year making many dog friends and enjoying companionship.
Kopuk is special not only for her gentle personality but also for her unique beauty. With her soft cream-colored coat, kind expression, and her distinctive one-eyed look, she turns heads wherever she goes. There is a quiet elegance about her, and she truly seems to smile — a smile that melts hearts instantly. Kopuk is living proof that true beauty.

She adapts well to new environments. At first she can be a little shy in a new place, but she adjusts quickly once she feels safe and comfortable. Kopuk loves communication with her people and enjoys being close to them. She is very expressive and will even let you know when she needs to go outside to do her business.

Now in foster care, Kopuk is showing what a wonderful house companion she is. She is fully house trained and has not had a single accident in the home. She loves her cozy bed very much and also enjoys relaxing on the couch near her people. One of her favorite things is being brushed — she enjoys the attention and the bonding time.

Kopuk walks nicely on the leash and, during her time living freely in the countryside, she shared the area with many stray cats without ever chasing them. She currently lives with dogs much smaller than herself and behaves like a gentle big sister, always calm and kind despite being three times their size.

Above all, Kopuk doesn’t ask for much. All she wants is love, security, and a home to finally call her own. After everything she has been through, this one-eyed beauty truly deserves her happy ending. 💛
