Meet Roo: the Gorgeous Bahraini Dilmun Boy Looking for his Golden Basket in the Netherlands, or Belgium (currently in Amsterdam).

Roo is a loving, gentle, and playful boy looking for a home where he can truly thrive. This sweet cat wouldn’t hurt a fly. He absolutely loves affection, curling up on your lap, and staying close to his humans. Roo is very social and will happily come throughout the day for head bumps, cuddles, and attention. 

At the same time, Roo also enjoys doing his own thing. You’ll often find him quietly watching birds from the window or entertaining himself with toys. He is an easygoing cat when it comes to handling; you can trim his nails without any fuss, and he has never hissed, scratched, or bitten. 

With new people, Roo may be a little shy for the first few minutes, but he warms up quickly and soon comes to lie beside you. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and playful personality really shines. 

Roo is a young, energetic boy who needs stimulation and adventure. He can be quite vocal in the late afternoon - something common in Dilmun-type cats - and this usually means he’s asking for interaction, playtime, or exploration. Importantly, he sleeps peacefully through the night and does not vocalize at night. 

Because of his curious and active personality, Roo would do best in a home with an experienced cat owner that can offer access to a fully enclosed and cat-proofed safe outdoor area, plenty of enrichment and ideally another friendly cat companion, or a dog companion if safe and slow introductions can be followed.

Roo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and Mycoplasma. His adoption fee is 275 EUR which goes towards covering a small part of his vet and relocation costs from Bahrain.
