Omschrijving
Hi there!
My name is Duru, and here is a little info about me. I hope my forever family reads this, because I'm really looking forward to finding my home.
Breed: Angora
Age: 10.2024
Gender: Female
Meet Duru– a survivor with the softest heart 💛
When we first met her, she had been abandoned at a veterinary clinic after suffering severe neglect. Due to her previous owner’s irresponsibility, she fell from the 5th floor, which caused a serious injury and left her with a hole in her palate. On top of everything, she was also diagnosed as FIV positive. But this girl chose to fight.
After three months of dedicated care and treatment, including surgery to repair her palate, she made a beautiful recovery. Today, she eats, drinks, and lives her life without any issues — and most importantly, she has never lost her loving spirit.
She is truly one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet — the kind of cat who doesn’t just share your home, but becomes part of you.
She actively seeks out connection. With her soft, gentle meow, she will come to you as if she’s inviting you into a quiet moment together: “Come, let’s cuddle.” And once you do, she gives herself completely. She melts into your arms, your lap, your shoulder — anywhere she can feel close to you.
She absolutely loves being held and carried, even resting comfortably on your shoulder like a little parrot. Physical closeness is her love language. Whether you are watching TV, working, sunbathing, or going to sleep, she will always choose to be right next to you, quietly sharing the moment.
She is incredibly sensitive to affection — it takes just the lightest touch for her to start purring. Her purr is constant, soothing, and full of trust. It’s her way of telling you she feels safe.
While she does enjoy treats, toys, and little pleasures, nothing compares to human connection for her. She doesn’t need much — just your presence, your warmth, and your love.
She is calm, gentle, and deeply devoted — the kind of companion who will turn everyday moments into something special, simply by being there with you. 💛
Because she is FIV positive and does not enjoy the company of other cats, she is looking for a home where she can be the only cat. In return, she will give you all the love in the world — more than enough to fill a home.
After everything she has been through, she deserves a calm, loving home where she will never be let down again. A home where she can feel safe, cherished, and close to her person.
If you are looking for a deeply affectionate, loyal, and cuddly companion, she might just be your perfect match.
💛 Could you be the one to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for?
Potty trained: Yes
Health notes: She is fully vet-checked, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped,. She has been tested for both FIV and FeLV — she is FeLV negative but FIV positive as a carrier. However, you can’t insure a cat if the cat FIV positive.
Our Adoption Process
1. Initial Screening Form: We'll send you a screening form to collect essential information.
2. Online Interview: You'll receive a link to choose a convenient time for a Google Meet call.
3. Home Video: As the final step, we kindly ask for a home video showing the future living environment of the animal.
Please note: We only proceed with candidates who complete all three steps. If needed, we are happy to provide a consent form.

Toelichting
Our adoption fee is €275.
This contribution helps cover a portion of the essential veterinary and travel expenses such as titer testing (to ensure sufficient rabies antibodies), vaccinations, microchipping, and other mandatory procedures.
However, this fee represents only about one-third of the total basic costs.
Rescuing and preparing a single cat for adoption typically costs us €1,000–€2,000. For this reason, any additional donation is greatly appreciated, as it allows us to continue helping more animals in need.
Our required adoption fee remains €275, and we kindly request it after your cat has safely arrived at your home.
