Omschrijving
Sunny is a sweet, affectionate young girl rescued from a municipal roundup in Ankara. We don’t know much about her past, but one thing is very clear—she is incredibly gentle, people-loving, and ready to be part of a home.
She’s now safe and showing us every day what a wonderful companion she can be.
Personality & Behavior
Sunny is a very loving and people-oriented dog. At home, she is calm and relaxed—she spends most of her time sleeping, but happily follows her human around when there’s activity. She loves being close, cuddling, and simply being part of your day.
She’s not very toy-driven, but she absolutely loves affection. Being petted, lying next to you, and sharing quiet moments are her favorite things. Outside, people often call her a “teddy bear”—and it fits perfectly.
She is also very social in public settings like cafés. People often come over to pet her, and if invited, she happily goes to say hello and spend time with them. She enjoys human interaction without being overwhelming.
She’s very easy to handle—grooming, bathing, and general care are no issue at all.
And a fun little detail: when she hears music, she wags her tail in rhythm.
Social Behavior
🐾 Excellent with other dogs – calm, friendly, and non-reactive
🐾 Even ignores dogs that bark or act tense toward her
🐾 Good with children – very gentle, just needs to learn personal space
🐾 Very social with people and enjoys meeting new humans
🐾 Curious about cats and may chase, but shows no aggression
City Life & Environment
Sunny is adapting well to daily life. She is comfortable in most environments, though she still needs guidance with some urban habits—like being mindful of bicycles or not following people or dogs she finds interesting.
She enjoys being outside and exploring, but will benefit from continued structure and guidance.
House Training & Daily Routine
Sunny is fully house-trained. She clearly signals when she needs to go out and has had no accidents at home.
Her routine is simple: she sleeps a lot, enjoys a couple of walks per day, and settles easily in the evening. She wakes up early (around 5–6am) but calmly waits or rests until you’re up.
She can stay alone for several hours without any issues—no barking, no stress, no destructive behavior.
Training & Outdoor Behavior
Sunny walks on leash but may pull slightly, especially at the beginning of walks. This is improving.
Her recall is not reliable yet, so she should not be off-leash for now. She may try to follow dogs or people she finds interesting.
She responds well to correction and is already improving with training.
