Dobby

Dobby is a beautiful female Golden Retriever mix with a soft heart and a strong personality. She was originally owned in Mersin, but after being abandoned, she survived in a residential complex. When residents no longer wanted her there, a compassionate family took her to Ankara. After spending time in boarding, she came into our care and is now in the Netherlands, where she has been in a foster home for about a month.

Personality & Behavior

Dobby is incredibly affectionate and deeply attached to her people. She loves cuddling and has no sense of personal space—she will happily climb into your lap and stay there as long as you let her.

At home, she is calm and spends most of her time resting. She is not very toy-driven but enjoys short bursts of play and thrives on human interaction. She learns quickly and responds well when given clear structure and boundaries.

She sometimes shows affection by gently mouthing hands or arms, which can be guided with training.

Social Behavior

Dobby is sensitive to movement and stimulation. She can become fixated on dogs, people, or moving objects like bikes or scooters, and in those moments, it can be difficult to redirect her.

At home, she may show guarding behaviors such as barking when there is ongoing external activity or noise.

Because of this, she would not do well in a chaotic or highly stimulating environment.

House Training & Daily Routine

🐾 Dobby is fully house-trained, with only a few stress-related incidents in the beginning.

🐾 She is not fully trained to stay alone yet, but she can stay in a separate space calmly without signs of stress.
