Leila

Leila is a 5-year-old FIV+ bundle of personality who is always ready to share her thoughts, whether you asked for them or not. This quirky girl has a lot to say, and she will happily keep you company with her adorable chatter and expressive nature.

Leila’s story could have ended very differently. She was rescued off the streets by a kind lady who unfortunately didn’t give the foster the support he needed. After a few months, her foster threatened to put Leila to sleep at the vet for damaging his sofa. Thankfully, we stepped just in time to give Leila a second chance, and she has been nothing but full of love ever since <3

Leila is FIV positive, but please do not let that scare you. FIV is a slow-progressing virus that many cats live with for years without issues. It is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, not through casual contact like sharing food bowls or cuddling. With a safe indoor lifestyle and normal care, FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives.

She must be the only cat in the home, as she is not a fan of feline roommates. What she does love, though, is human attention. If you are looking for a companion who truly bonds with you, Leila is your girl.

Leila has had all of her teeth removed, which just adds to her charm and makes her little expressions even cuter. It also means that when she bites you out of over stimulation, it doesn’t hurt at all. Having no teeth does not slow her down at all. She eats well, feels great, and is always ready for her favorite activity: curling up next to you for a cozy nap.

Leila is searching for a calm, loving home in the Netherlands or Belgium, where she can be the center of attention and share her affectionate, talkative nature.

Leila is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and FIV-positive but negative for FeLV & Mycoplasma. For anyone who will adopt her, a minimum adoption donation is to be paid once she arrives in her final home. The foster will need to take care of her until an adopter is found, and for FIV positive cats this can be a fairly long time.
