Omschrijving
Bulut’s story began in Nevşehir, Turkey, where she was found abandoned and alone. With cropped ears and signs that she had likely been used as a livestock guardian dog and bred in the past, it seemed that once she was no longer needed, she had been left behind.
When Bulut arrived at a sanctuary near Ankara last autumn, she was severely underweight and in poor condition. She spent several months there recovering before finally making the journey to the Netherlands in late May.
Despite never having lived in a home before, Bulut has adapted beautifully to family life. She is calm, affectionate, and incredibly grateful for everything that comes with being a cherished companion: regular meals, soft beds, cozy couches, and most of all, human attention and love.
Bulut is a magnificent girl, weighing around 50 kg and standing 73 cm at the shoulder. She definitely attracts attention during walks! Everyone wants to pet and learn about this giant cuddly polar bear.
Outside, Bulut is thriving. She loves exploring the beautiful green parks of the Netherlands, enjoys long walks, happily accepts affection from people she meets, and loves spending time with other dogs.
Many of these experiences are completely new to her. In Turkey, she was a dog people were often taught to keep their distance from, which limited her opportunities to enjoy positive interactions with both humans and other dogs. Now, she seems determined to embrace everything life has to offer.
Bulut is also discovering city life for the very first time and is taking it all in stride. She has already handled public transport, busy urban environments, and even a boat trip with remarkable confidence.
After years of hardship, Bulut is finally getting to enjoy what every dog deserves: safety, comfort, companionship, and adventure. All she needs now is a loving forever home where she can continue this wonderful new chapter.

Toelichting
Bulut was rescued from streets in Turkey June 2025. She completed 4 months of procedures and flew to the Netherlands in late May 2026. Her vaccinations are done and she has a valid passport and travel titration test. We ask for an adoption contribution of 500 euros to help us continue the work in rescueing and rehabilitating more dogs and cats in Turkey although the actual costs of procedures to rehome dogs from Turkey are higher. Stichting Verhuisdieren is aware of these higher adoption costs and has given permission due to high costs for Turkish animals.
