Meet Sky 🐾💛

In her own words: "I'm energetic and adaptable. I'm a dog who's open to learning, communicates well, and is very people-focused. I'm affectionate and cheerful. I could be a second dog. It's true that I'm a little spoiled — and I love cuddles!"

We first found Sky in a communal living area of a municipal shelter in a city in eastern Turkey. She had been attacked by other dogs there, and out of fear, had dug herself under one of the shelter kennels and refused to come out. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her.

Sky has now been with us for almost a year. She is fully ready — vaccinated, cared for, and simply waiting for a foster or a final home to call her own.

Sky is full of beans — energetic, spirited, and always up for something. Despite everything she's been through, she's remarkably adaptable and deeply people-oriented, and we're confident she'll settle in easily wherever she goes, without much difficulty at all.

She is very food-motivated, which makes training and bonding with her easy and rewarding. Despite her rough start, she is wonderful with every single dog she meets — she genuinely loves playing with other dogs and can run around like an absolute crazy, joyful mess of energy. We don't yet know how she is with cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal for her. She also walks comfortably on a leash.

Sky needs a family whose own energy matches hers — active, playful people who can keep up with her zest for life and give her plenty of outlets to run, play, and explore. She'd do wonderfully as a second dog in a home with another playful companion, but she's just as capable of shining as an only dog with the right people. What matters most is a household ready to match her spirit and give her the structure and activity she thrives on.

Sky isn't a cloudy sky — she's pure sunshine. She will be the dog that brightens your home and your life. ☀️🐾
