Meet Smokey, the Zen Guru you never knew you needed.

If you’re looking for a gentle companion who is happiest simply being close to you, Smokey might just be the cat you’ve been waiting for.

Smokey has a beautifully calm nature. He’s the kind of cat who will find a cosy spot beside you, curl up for a long nap, and quietly enjoy your company without ever asking for much in return. His favourite days are the simple ones spent relaxing at home with the people he loves.

Despite his laid-back personality, Smokey still enjoys a little playtime each day. A few minutes with a wand toy is enough to satisfy him before he’s ready to settle back down for another nap. He isn’t demanding or high energy. He’s simply content.

What Smokey loves most is affection. He enjoys being stroked, happily sits on laps, gives gentle head butts, loves being picked up, and often chooses to sleep close to his humans. He has wonderful manners, is easy to handle, and has never shown any signs of aggression.

Smokey also gets along well with other cats, although his quiet personality means he’d be happiest in a peaceful home. Loud environments can make him nervous, so he’s looking for adopters who appreciate the slower pace of life just as much as he does. Once he arrives somewhere new, he settles in surprisingly quickly and soon makes himself at home.

He has perfect litter box habits, is a good eater, has no known medical conditions, and doesn’t require any special care. All Smokey is searching for is a quiet home where he can roam freely, feel safe, and spend the rest of his life knowing he belongs.

Smokey is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV negative. He is ready to travel to The Netherlands or Belgium.

If you would like to adopt Smokey, please complete our adoption application form. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a home video so we can ensure balconies, windows, exits, and any outdoor spaces are fully cat-proofed. Smokey is looking for a strictly indoor-only home where he will be a cherished member of the family.

Our adoption fee is €275, which helps cover a portion of the veterinary care and travel costs for our rescued cats while allowing us to continue rescuing more vulnerable cats in Bahrain.
