The Gentle Soul Who Loves the Simple Things
Dodo is a 6-year-old Shepherd mix with a calm, peaceful nature and a heart that finds happiness in life's quiet moments. Rescued from the Lotte dog meat farm in South Korea, she has left her difficult past behind and blossomed into a wonderfully easy-going companion who asks for very little other than kindness, fresh air and a place to belong.
She is a gentle dog who enjoys being close to people without demanding constant attention. At the shelter, while many of the other dogs played together, Dodo was happiest quietly following the volunteers, watching what they were doing and enjoying the occasional pat or scratch. She simply loves being part of everyday life.
With other dogs, Dodo is incredibly polite and submissive. She avoids conflict, happily shares her space, and prefers to observe rather than join in energetic play. If another dog becomes bossy or even takes her food, she quietly steps away instead of causing a fuss.
Dodo also lives peacefully alongside cats and shows very little interest in them, making her an excellent candidate for a home with feline companions.
At home, Dodo is wonderfully relaxed and easy to live with. She is fully house-trained, rarely barks, and is not destructive. She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether she is sunbathing, watching the world go by, or sniffing every interesting scent on a walk. Once she has had enough time outside, she happily heads back indoors for a long nap.
She especially loves having a cosy little den to curl up in. An open crate quickly becomes her favourite resting place, and she often chooses a cool floor over a soft dog bed. She is independent yet affectionate, always appreciating gentle strokes and quiet companionship.
On walks, Dodo is curious and enjoys exploring at her own pace. She loves following interesting scents and calmly takes in the world around her. While she may pull slightly from excitement, she responds well to gentle guidance and is sensible around traffic.
