🐾 Meet Ela — 10 kg of Pure Love & Happiness ❤️

Ela is a 10 kg little nugget of love, happiness and personality, and she is ready for her next chapter: a loving foster home in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

Ela was rescued from a terrible shelter where she struggled to survive among much bigger dogs. She was then moved to a very crowded sanctuary, where there were simply too many dogs and too little human attention. In that environment, Ela remained a timid and frightened girl.

But the moment she left that sanctuary, we discovered the real Ela. 🥹❤️

She transformed into a happy, affectionate little girl who jumps up to greet people with kisses and eagerly invites other dogs to play.

Today, Ela lives in a smaller and less crowded sanctuary where she has both big and small dog friends, access to a garden for potty breaks and playtime, and much more interaction with people and her caregivers. And she absolutely thrives on it.

🌸 What is Ela like?

* ❤️ 10 kg of pure love
* 🥰 Extremely affectionate and loves cuddles
* 🛋️ Loves lying beside you on the couch and will sometimes climb onto your lap and lean against you
* 🐶 Very good with other dogs, both big and small
* 🚗 Loves going places with people — she happily comes along in the car or on walks
* 🍖 Very food motivated! She may even attempt to climb onto chairs to investigate what’s on the table 😄
* 🐕 She can pull on the leash, mainly because she gets very excited about being outside with her people
* 🏡 She is alert when someone approaches the sanctuary gates and may give a quick bark to let you know — but she is not a constant barker
* 🛏️ While she is wonderful with other dogs, she can be protective of her food and bed around other dogs, so these should be managed separately

Most importantly, Ela is a girl who blossoms with human attention. The more love and interaction she receives, the more her happy personality comes out. ❤️

🇳🇱 Ela needs a foster home

Ela will be ready to fly to the Netherlands after September 22.

We are looking for a foster home that can welcome her for at least 2 months, giving this sweet girl the chance to experience life in a home, continue building her confidence, and — most importantly — be seen by the right family who will eventually make her forever theirs.

All Ela needs is a chance.
