🐾 Meet Jane — A Funny Little Puppy Looking for Her Foster Home

Jane is only around 7 months old, but she has already been through quite a lot.

She was found wandering the streets alone, desperately trying to get someone’s attention. She would whine and try to enter people’s gardens and homes, clearly looking for safety and companionship. Thankfully, she was rescued and taken to the vet, where she tested positive for canine coronavirus. She was hospitalized and received treatment, recovered well, and was later spayed.

Today, Jane recently moved to and is safely living in a foster home in Turkey, where she shares her life with several cats and another dog. She is friendly and social with everyone. The cats, however, aren’t always impressed by her enthusiastic puppy personality — they sometimes give her a little smack when she gets too excited, which usually leaves Jane wondering why everyone doesn’t appreciate her energy quite as much! 😄

Jane is still very much a puppy, so her foster family should expect some learning and teaching. She is working on potty training, home manners and learning to stay alone. She is also quite a talkative girl and uses her voice to communicate — for example, she may bark when she’s bored or wants something. She isn’t being naughty; she’s simply still learning how to be a polite member of the household.

She is very excited about life. New people? AMAZING!
New dogs? AMAZING!
A walk? THE BEST THING EVER! 🥰

When she first heads out, she can pull on the leash because she is so excited, but after a few minutes she settles into a much more normal walking pace.

Jane is basically a big dog packed into a short-legged body. She is incredibly cute, funny and full of personality. She is very food motivated and clever, which should make training a lot of fun. She learns quickly when there are tasty rewards involved!

And underneath all that puppy enthusiasm is a very affectionate and cuddly little girl. Jane loves being close to her people and enjoys affection enormously. Her attention span is still very much that of a young puppy, though, so don’t expect her to concentrate for long periods just yet. 😉

❤️ What Jane is looking for

Jane needs a foster home that understands that puppies are a work in progress. She would thrive with people who are patient, consistent and willing to help her learn all the skills she needs to become a wonderful adult dog.

She would enjoy an active home with plenty of walks, playtime, training and interaction. Another friendly, playful dog could be a great companion for her.

If you’re looking for a perfectly behaved, calm adult dog, Jane probably isn’t your girl just yet.

But if you’re looking for a funny, affectionate, clever, food-loving, short-legged little character whose personality is still unfolding — Jane might be exactly the girl you’ve been waiting for. ❤️🐾

Jane will be available to fly to the Netherlands after November 11.
