Trico

Trico was found on the streets with her eyes completely closed due to a serious eye condition. She was taken to a veterinary clinic, where she underwent a long period of treatment. Once her treatment was completed, she was moved to a boarding facility where she could continue her recovery in a safe environment.

During this time, we also discovered that Trico was pregnant. Shortly afterwards, she gave birth to four kittens. After raising her kittens, Trico was also spayed.

Due to her previous eye condition, Trico has partial vision loss. However, this does not prevent her from living a normal daily life. She simply needs a little extra time to adjust to unfamiliar environments and new people.

Trico is a shy girl. Rather than expecting her to show affection immediately, it is important to give her time to explore her surroundings and feel safe. With a calm, gentle and patient approach, without putting pressure on her, she gradually begins to build trust at her own pace.

She is friendly with people, gets along well with other cats and can live with children. Her compatibility with dogs is currently unknown. She is litter-trained and has the potential to adapt well to life in a home.

Trico is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated, and she has her own pet passport. She does not require any regular medication or a special diet. She has no known behavioural problems or anxiety.

After everything she has been through, from surviving on the streets to raising her four kittens, it is finally Trico’s turn to find a home of her own.

We are looking for a loving and patient family who will respect her gentle and shy nature, give her the time she needs to feel safe and love her exactly as she is. 🤍

Her procedures to fly to the Netherlands is complete. She is ready to fly as soon as she finds her family and a flight volunteer is secured.
