Kaya

Kaya is already in The Netherlands and ready for her forever family; she is currently in a foster home in Nijmegen.

This little warrior survived being abandoned on the streets of Bahrain alongside 21 other Ragdolls when the war broke out in February.

Kaya was in heartbreaking condition. At over 3 years old, she weighed just 1.7 kg. Severely malnourished, frightened and weak, she had somehow managed to survive. Despite everything she’d been through, Kaya never gave up.

She was severely anemic, and her little body needed time, nourishment and treatment to regain its strength. But Kaya fought through it all, and today she has made a wonderful recovery.

The frightened, fragile girl who was once struggling to survive has blossomed into a happy, playful and affectionate little character. Kaya absolutely loves being around people. She’s a curious, playful girl who enjoys being close to her humans, keeping them company and being part of whatever they’re doing.

She does have one little rule, though: all four paws stay on the ground, please! Kaya isn’t particularly fond of being picked up, but she has so much love to give in her own special way. She is a total lap cat, but on her own accord.

She’s the kind of cat who simply wants to be near you, sharing your everyday moments and enjoying the comfort of knowing she belongs.

Kaya has already experienced the worst of humanity. Now it’s our turn to show her the very best.

She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and Mycoplasma. She has received a clean bill of health from her veterinarian. Her adoption fee is €275, which covers a small part of her vet and relocation costs from Bahrain.

Our adoption process includes a pre-adoption questionnaire, a video tour of your home, a video call with our team, two references and a signed adoption agreement. We carefully screen all potential adopters to ensure our cats are placed in safe, loving and permanent homes. Indoor-only homes are required unless there is a fully secured outdoor space.
