Omschrijving

Hero is a 3-year-old male, neutered dog with a big heart and a strong sense of loyalty. He was found during a municipal roundup in Ankara—when the team approached, Hero stepped in to protect his sister, allowing her to escape while he was taken to the shelter.

He was later rescued from the shelter and moved to a boarding facility, where he spent about a year waiting. He has now been in the Netherlands for around 3 weeks and is currently living in a foster home, where he is adjusting well to home life.

Personality & Behavior

Hero is a very affectionate, soft, and people-oriented dog. He loves physical closeness, attention, and being near his human. He’s the kind of dog who leans into you, follows you around, and happily soaks up all the affection he can get.

He is calm and well-behaved indoors. He does not bark unnecessarily, chew, or show destructive behavior. He is fully house-trained and adapts easily to home routines.

Hero is also learning how to play. Since he has spent a long time in a boarding environment, play is something relatively new to him—but he’s starting to enjoy it more and more.

Social Behavior

🐾 Good with other dogs, especially females
🐾 Currently living with another dog in his foster home
🐾 Can become slightly possessive in shared home environments
🐾 Social and friendly overall
🐾 Very people-oriented and affectionate

Hero is a confident, assertive dog who knows what he likes. While he can live with other dogs, he tends to feel more comfortable and relaxed when he doesn’t have to share his space or attention.

Home Life & Routine

Hero is fully house-trained and has no issues with basic home behavior.

When left alone, he may whine or vocalize a little at first, but settles down shortly after. Because of this, he would not be suitable for very long hours alone and would benefit from a home where someone is around most of the day or where alone time is built up gradually.

Training & Adaptation

Hero is a stable and straightforward dog to handle. He has no known behavioral issues such as aggression, excessive barking, or destructiveness.

He benefits from:
🐾 Clear structure
🐾 Consistent routines
🐾 Gentle guidance

He is already a very balanced dog, but like any rescue, he will continue to blossom in a home environment.

What Kind of Home Does Hero Need?

Hero would do best in a home that offers:

🐾 A family looking for a loyal companion
🐾 Limited alone time (or gradual training for it)
🐾 Preferably as the only dog in the home
🐾 Or with a calm, well-balanced female dog

Hero is a loving, devoted dog who will bond deeply with his person. He has already shown how loyal he is—now he just needs a home where he can finally relax and belong.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will stay close to your side, Hero might be the one. 💛🐾
