Meet Peppi 🐾💛

Peppi's story is one of resilience — a journey through loss, hardship, and finally, a second chance at the life he deserves.

Peppi is a 3-year-old male Labrador & Golden mix, and his path to us was anything but simple. He was rescued from a government shelter shortly before he would have been transferred to the large, overcrowded, kill shelter — facilities that often hold up to a thousand dogs at once. 😔

We only learned Peppi's full story by chance, when we went to register him in our name and discovered he already had a registered owner, who came in person to officially hand him over. That's when his history came to light: Peppi grew up and they no longer wanted to keep him. He passed along to a construction site.. Having never learned how to survive street life, we are also surprised how he could survive. He spent over 10 months living in a small kennel, shared with several other dogs.

Despite everything he's been through, Peppi remains a dear, reliable, gentle soul. He is affectionate toward people, listens well, and has a calm, submissive nature — he much prefers avoiding conflict over confrontation, both with people and with other dogs. He loves to cuddle and clearly craves warmth and closeness after everything he missed out on.

He walks nicely on a leash and is currently living in a dog boarding facility, where no issues have been observed with other dogs. He is generally social and easygoing with both people and dogs alike.
Peppi doesn't need a home that asks much of him — just patience, warmth, and the chance to finally feel secure. In return, he offers a gentle, loving companionship built on quiet trust. After everything he's endured, he deserves nothing less than a soft place to land. 🐾💛
