Meet Sylvester, a quiet boy with a big heart

Not every cat demands your attention. Some, like Sylvester, quietly earn their place in your heart.

Sylvester is a gentle and loving 4-year-old boy with a wonderfully sweet nature. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with some time and patience, you’ll discover an affectionate and loyal companion who simply loves being close to his person.

He enjoys being picked up and especially loves sitting on his person’s shoulder. He also loves headbutts, wand toys, bird watching, exploring, long naps, and sunbathing in his favourite sunny spot. He isn’t picky with his food either, although food is definitely one of the ways to his heart!

Sylvester knows his boundaries, and belly rubs are a definite no. He prefers to approach people in his own time and build trust at his own pace.

We feel Sylvester would be happiest as the only pet in his new home, as he does not adjust well to living with other cats. His ideal adopter is someone calm and patient who will look beyond him simply being a short-haired cat and see the incredibly gentle, loving boy that he is. An adult-only home, or a home with older children who understand and respect a cat’s boundaries, would be ideal.

Sylvester is completely healthy and fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, parasite-treated, and has tested negative for FIV, FeLV and Mycoplasma.

An indoor-only home is required. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a home-tour video so we can review cat-proofing, including balconies, windows, exits and any outdoor spaces.

We are looking for a loving, secure and permanent home where Sylvester can settle in at his own pace and truly flourish. Give him the time to trust you, and you’ll have a wonderfully sweet and devoted companion by your side.
