Serr-Meows🐱🐱 is a small group of volunteers who deeply love cats — especially those who have been forgotten or left behind. We are based in Serres, a city in Northern Griekenland.🐈🐈
Griekenland is sadly known for the huge number of stray animals living on its streets. In our case, stray cats face extremely difficult conditions every day. Unfortunately, there is little to no effective support for them, which leads to uncontrolled reproduction and thousands of kittens being born into suffering.
These poor souls struggle daily with hunger, thirst, disease, injuries, car accidents, and sometimes even human cruelty. Many survive by searching for food in garbage bins, and sadly their average life expectancy on the streets is often only around three years.🐱🐱
Our love and compassion for them is what brought us together. We rescue kittens and adult cats in need and trying to find loving and safe homes for them. Everything we do is supported mainly by our own personal expenses — including food, cat litter, vaccinations, deworming, sterilizations, medical treatments, and hospital care for injured animals.
Our goal is simple: to give every rescued cat the chance for a safe, loving home.
Through responsible adoptions in and Griekenland abroad, we work hard to find families who will offer these cats the life they truly deserve. Whenever possible, we keep in touch with adopters to ensure that our rescued kitties are happy and safe in their new homes.
We strongly believe in the message:
Adopt — don’t shop.🐱🐱
Cats are incredibly loving, sensitive animals. They bring comfort, joy, and companionship into our lives in the most beautiful ways. When you adopt a stray cat, you are not just giving them a home — you are saving a life and gaining a loyal friend.🐈🐈
If you would like to adopt, support, or learn more about our work, please feel free to contact us.🐱🐱
Together we can make the world a little kinder for the cats who need us most.
